West Africans Visit New City
Older students at New City had a great opportunity to ask questions of two visitors from West Africa. While the visitors spoke French, an interpreter explained everything to our students. New City students practiced their limited French and learned a great deal about daily life in West Africa.
The Cathedral of All Souls Episcopal Awards a Grant to New City
We were blessed to receive funds from the 2009 Arts and Crafts Festival that is hosted by All Souls each fall. These funds will be used for classroom supplies. All families at New City pay tuition based on a sliding scale but we rely on donations and grants from churches, foundations, businesses and individuals to meet our operating budget. We greatly appreciate the generosity of the congregation at All Souls as well as the rest of the Asheville community.
