EXCITING NEWS: Race Donations Can Now Be Made Online
The race is over but you can still help us meet our goal of $3000 in online donations by October 2011.
You can help New City raise funds for adding an additional classroom and teacher by joining “Team New City 2011”! Team New City members train to either run or walk in the Asheville Citizen-Times Half-Marathon/5K race to be held this fall. The half-marathon event is for runners only, but the 5K is open to both runners and walkers. Last year we had a family of five participate. Each participant finds sponsors for their event, and every dollar donated goes to the school! That’s right: Every single dollar goes to the school!

You will see a box that says New City Christian School + ACT Run = Awesome Cause. Click on this and it will take you to the team fundraising page. To join the team set up by Cathy Heck, click the lime green button on the right where it says "Fundraise". You will be walked through the steps to create a unique name (and then your name, email, password, etc) for you to raise money under the umbrella of the team fundraiser. When you are done, your name and goal will show up on the main webpage under the Leaderboard. Don't forget to visit the Asheville Citizen Times website to sign up for the run.

Simply click on the name of the person that you are supporting and find the donate button on their page. Everything should be self-explanatory at that point. The website is hosted by Razoo and is quite secure.
