You can help New City raise funds for adding an additional classroom and teacher by joining “Team New City 2010”! Team New City members train to either run or walk in the Asheville Citizen-Times Half-Marathon/5K race to be held this fall on September 18. The half-marathon event is for runners only, but the 5K is open to both runners and walkers. Each participant finds sponsors for their event, and every dollar donated goes to the school! That’s right: Every single dollar goes to the school! Last year “Team New City” brought in over $13,000 for the school, and our goal this year is to top $20,000 by finding new teammates to run or walk with us.
